While my cosplays now look very polished and nice they were not always this glamourous. I started cosplaying in 2019. My first official character cosplay was "Izuku Midoriya" from "My Hero Academia". I was just starting out i wore a unstyled green wig, mascara, and four eyeliner freckles on each cheek. While younger me scrubbed these photos from the internet its important to remember where i started.
Shortly after i started cosplaying the pandemic started, and with an excess of time i decided i wanted to start a career in content creation. I started my Tiktok account under the username "Rezudoesthings" on August 31st, 2020. I was cosplaying "My Hero Academia" Character's,
Among us, and my original character "Jynx" the clown.
As i started to become obsessed with cosplaying, costuming, and make-up i started to bring it into every part of my life. I'd come home and break right into my make-up case and practice for hours. I wish i had taken more photos of all my progress. Eventually id start dressing up every opportunity I got.
After I started to show more interest in cosplay my mom enrolled me in a cosplay prop making class and an online sewing class. I started to learn techniques that would help me in my projects. I made armor, weapons, tails, and hats.
As time went on my skills started to improve and my makeup started to look more professional. From 17-18 i attended a lot of concerts and always had to look extravagant. From small local gigs to Chappell Roan and Chari XCX I always dressed to the nines.
My first convention was Metrocon in the summer of 2024. It was the best experience I’d ever been to. I was sur by people who were as passionate as me. I started going to every convention i could. I went to TBCC, Anime St. Pete, local meetups, and then Megacon 2025 where I hosted my first panel.
